We’re down to just 8 movies that won Oscars for “Best Picture.” They all had a roughly 60-40 win in Round Three.
The one upset was The Godfather Part 2 losing to Amadeus. Amadeus got 63% of the votes in that matchup.
We still have a decent spread of date ranges, but the most recent “Best Picture” winner still in the running is LotR: Return of the King, which won in 2003.
