We’re down to the Sweet Sixteen! Three-quarters of the dog breeds have already been eliminated from the voting. Of course, you’re still welcome to love any and all dog breeds and we encourage you to adopt from your local shelter.
The closest contest in Round Two was the Staffordshire Bull Terrier beating the Brittany by only two votes! The Old English Sheepdog beat the Akita by only three votes.
There were three contests that were won 55% to 45%:
- Beagle over Shetland Sheepdog
- Labrador Retriever over Australian Shepherd
- Dalmatian over Boxer
The biggest margin of victory was the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel over the Shih Tzu, 81% to 19%. Right behind them was the Golden Retriever beating the German Shorthaired Pointer 80% to 20%.
