We’re down to the top two favorites in each season. Not many surprises, but the choices are definitely tougher now. We still had a couple close ones in the Sweet Sixteen:
- Will the Real Martian Please Stand Up? beat The Obsolete Man 53% to 47%
- A Stop at Willoughby beat The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street 55% to 45%
- The Masks beat Living Doll 56% to 44%
Half of the remaining eight were written by Rod Serling and three others were adapted into a teleplay by Serling, based on other writers’ works. Richard Matheson’s Nightmare at 20,000 Feet rounds out the top eight. I think all of eight of these are “classic” episodes. They may not be the most intense or have the deepest thoughts or most complex issues, but they’re definitely some of the most memorable.
Vote now in the Elite Eight round! The deadline is Sunday night, January 19, 2020.
