Here are some observations from the first round of voting:
- All three Back to the Future movies moved on to Round Two
- So did the first three Indiana Jones movies (not Crystal Skull)
- So did the first two Jurassic Park movies
There were only a couple close votes, and they were mostly movies that people didn’t seem to care much about:
- Amistad beat Balto by 4 votes
- Ready Player One beat Transformers by 5 votes
The bulk of the votes were at least 60%-40% wins. There WERE some huge wins, though:
- Close Encounters beat Sugarland Express 62-1
- Raiders of the Lost Ark beat The BFG 62-2
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom beat Monster House 59-4
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade beat Men in Black II 59-5
- Back to the Future beat Real Steel 59-5
- Jurassic Park beat Always 58-5
- Jaws beat Deep Impact 57-4
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit beat The Lovely Bones 55-4
- Hook beat A.I. 57-8
- Catch Me If You Can beat Cowboys & Aliens 53-6
- Men in Black beat Batteries Not Included 53-8
