Observations about the Sweet Sixteen results:
- The Grinch has had the HIGHEST WIN PERCENTAGE in each round, even beating Paul McCartney.
- Chestnuts beat Have Yourself a Merry by 3 votes. All the others were pretty solid wins.
- It’s interesting that the top 2 favorites in the Newer Pop are basically from cartoons: Christmas Time Is Here (Charlie Brown Christmas) and You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, beating Mariah Carey, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Karen Carpenter.
- Bracketwise, there are still two #1-ranked songs in the running: Silent Night and White Christmas (which were my initial guess for the championship round). The Traditional category has #1 and #2 matching up this round.
